The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine noted the statement of the leadership of Iran, which indirectly justified the aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war unleashed by Russia, Iran has publicly declared neutrality and advocated for a ceasefire and political and diplomatic resolution. In this regard, the Ukrainian side is concerned over the changes in rhetoric of the Iranian leadership. The connivance of Russia's aggressive actions not only encourages it to continue its unprovoked war against the people of Ukraine, but also creates preconditions for destabilizing peace and security in other regions of the world.

Any accusations of the alleged preparation of an attack on the Russian Federation are baseless and manipulative.

We call upon the Iranian side to refrain from statements or steps that would fuel the aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
