On September 8, 2020, Ukraine in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme, Estonia, Rwanda, Singapore, Finland and Japan held a virtual event entitled “Digital Solutions in the Times of Covid-19” for UN Member States and civil society organizations with 78 participants.
In his capacity as a keynote speaker, Deputy Foreign Minister, Chief Digital Transformation Officer Dmytro Senik highlighted MFA’s successful experience in the use of digital innovations and technologies for smooth continuation of business in the times of COVID-19 and improving the quality of services provided to the citizens of Ukraine.
“E-services and resources developed by the MFA to assist Ukrainian nationals traveling abroad during pandemic, digitalization of consular services, efforts towards countering disinformation and fake news are all digital response to the COVID-19 crisis”, as to Deputy Foreign Minister.
Dmytro Senik emphasized the important role of the United Nations Development Programme, which following COVID-19 outbreak in Ukraine engaged meaningfully into strengthening digital capacity of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, improving its emergency response.
