Deputy Minister Yehor Bozhok had a phone conversation with the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State (Minister for European Neighbourhood and the Americas) Wendy Morton.
The parties exchanged the latest information on the epidemiological situation in Ukraine and the UK, as well as on steps taken to consolidate international efforts to combat the coronavirus and its effects.
While discussing the situation in the eastern regions and in the territory of the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea of Ukraine, Yehor Bozhok emphasized the need to maintain sanction pressure on Russia against the background of ongoing aggression against our state.
Ukrainian diplomat thanked the British Side for consistent support of Ukraine and practical assistance in critical areas.
Wendy Morton assured of the UK’s commitment to further support Ukraine, to what she will continue to pay serious personal attention.
The Parties expressed expectation for expedient completion of negotiations on the draft Agreement on Political Cooperation, Free Trade and Partnership between Ukraine and the United Kingdom, the work on continues, despite quarantine restrictions, through diplomatic channels.
Yehor Bozhok invited Wendy Morton to visit Ukraine to see personally results of the support projects already implemented by the United Kingdom in Ukraine, including in the regions of our country affected by the Russian aggression, and to discuss possible new initiatives.
