On April 30 Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Yevhenii Yenin met with Ambassador of Canada to Ukraine Larisa Galadza.

Key issues of strengthening bilateral cooperation, political dialogue development, trade, economic and investment interaction as well as further Canada’s support of sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and implementing reforms in our country were discussed.

Yevhenii Yenin highly appreciated large-scale assistance provided to Ukraine, including a recent Canada’s decision to allocate humanitarian assistance to counteract the COVID-19 pandemic.

Special attention was paid to possibilities of liberalization of Canada's visa regime for Ukrainian citizens and conditions to be provided by both sides to promote youth mobility.

The parties considered priority tasks to coordinate efforts to ensure the international investigation of the catastrophe of the Ukrainian aircraft shot down by Iran, compensation to the families of the victims, and implementation of initiatives to enhance civil aviation security.
