Dmytro Kuleba named three conditions for Russia’s defeat, addressing the meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council
26 June 2023 12:26

The Wagner’s raid on Moscow has clearly demonstrated the weakness of the Putin’s regime. Providing Ukraine with the necessary military assistance, strengthening sanctions pressure and resolute action by the international community will ensure Russia’s defeat in its war against Ukraine and the democratic world.

This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba at the meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council on Monday, the 26th of June.

Dmytro Kuleba stated that on Saturday night, we saw not the final act, but an intermission in just another act of destruction of Putin’s power vertical. Russia is getting weaker by the day. It is critically important now to provide Ukraine with all the weapons it needs, especially artillery systems, M270 MLRS and their missiles and rockets, and to strengthen international sanctions in the areas of nuclear energy, digital technologies, diamond trading, maritime logistics and finances. We must also prevent Russia from hitting Ukrainian cities with missile strikes, foremost through imposition of a global ban on the supply of dual-use goods on the Russian missile and drone industries, - said the Minister.

The minister also called on the United States to speed up the process of training Ukrainian pilots and technicians and the Western-style aircraft transfer to Ukraine, stating that all these steps taken together will allow to liberate all Ukrainian territories.

He also welcomed the EU’s decision to increase the European Peace Facility budget of  3.5 billion euros, which will not only help ensure stable supplies of military equipment for Ukraine, but also develop the Ukrainian-European alliance of defence industries. According to the minister, a special event will be held in Ukraine in the near future to launch this long-term defence cooperation.

Closing his speech, Dmytro Kuleba told the EU foreign ministers the story of two Ukrainian teenagers from Berdiansk, Tygran Ohannisyan and Mykyta Khanganov, who gave their lives in the fight against the Russian occupation, saying that Ukraine will certainly win, as it is defended by such Heroes as Tygran and Mykyta. Glory to Ukraine!
