Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba held bilateral talks with his Dutch counterpart Ben Knapen on the sidelines of the NATO North Atlantic Council meeting in Riga.

Dmytro Kuleba thanked the Netherlands for its consistent support of Ukraine in countering Russian aggression. In particular, for the participation in the founding summit of the Crimean Platform, assistance in demining territories in Donbas, treatment of several wounded Ukrainian soldiers recently arrived in the Netherlands.

The Minister informed his Dutch counterpart about the increase of Russia's military presence in the temporarily occupied territories and along the state border of Ukraine, as well as a comprehensive package of deterrence for Russia, aimed at discouraging Moscow from further aggressive actions.

Ben Knapen assured Dmytro Kuleba that the Netherlands strongly supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine in front of Russia's aggressive actions.

Dmytro Kuleba stressed the readiness of Ukraine for further cooperation with the Netherlands and its willingness to apply all necessary legal measures to bring to justice those responsible for the downing of MH17 passenger plane in July 2014.
