Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba: «In the MFA bomb shelter, I spoke with Josep Borrell, who expressed EU solidarity and support for Ukraine in the face of Russia's brutal attack. We agreed to step up our joint efforts to deliver additional air defense systems to Ukraine. I thanked the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Vice-President of the European Commission for all of the political and personal support in 2023. I emphasized that our two main defense priorities for the coming year are to accelerate artillery ammunition delivery and remove all barriers to ramping up European defense industries. Josep informed me EU is taking steps to expedite the delivery of the promised number of artillery rounds and to facilitate the rapid development of EU defense industries. We discussed the upcoming European Council summit on February 1st, which is expected to approve the Ukraine Facility. In this regard, I informed HR/VP that the Ukrainian government today approved the reform plan required for the launch of the Ukraine Facility».
