This was announced by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba in Brussels on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 while the media doorstep before the inaugural meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council at the level of foreign ministers.
"It would not be an exaggeration to say that the protection of the European space is impossible without Ukraine, because our country currently has the strongest and most efficient army in Europe. We are significantly expanding cooperation with NATO, in fact we have already become an army of NATO standards: both from the point of view of technical capabilities and management approaches and principles of military management," the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine emphasized.
Dmytro Kuleba underlined that today Ukraine and NATO will hold the first-ever meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council at the level of foreign ministers, where Ukraine and allies will have close discussions on important issues such as steps to increase the production of weapons and ammunition.
The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine thanked NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg for recognizing the achievements of our country on the battlefield. In this context, Dmytro Kuleba emphasized that one of the key topics in cooperation with the Alliance is the unification of defense industries and the increase in arms production.
"Ukraine's victory is in the interests not only of our state, but also of the entire Euro-Atlantic community. In order to ensure stability, the defense industries must increase production, unite and work as one integrated mechanism," the minister emphasized.
