During his visit to the United States of America, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba discussed further practical strengthening of the defense capabilities of our state with U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin.

The U.S. Secretary of Defense expressed unwavering support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity and assured of the U.S. preparedness to further increase military-technical cooperation with Ukraine.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed his gratitude to the U.S. for supporting Ukraine and strengthening our Armed Forces.

The parties discussed practical steps to protect Ukraine, in particular the development of cooperation in the fields of air and missile defense.

Dmytro Kuleba informed the U.S. Secretary of Defense about the formation of territorial defense in Ukraine and expressed his hope for close cooperation for its development.

The parties agreed to prolong consultations and contacts at the highest military-political level.
