On Thursday, April 4, following a meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council, Foreign Ministers of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba and German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock recorded a joint video message in which they called on their partners to strengthen Ukraine's air defense.
"The meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council has just ended, where I once again called on our partners to urgently provide Ukraine with more air defense systems capable of intercepting ballistic missiles, in particular the Patriot air defense system. And I highly appreciate the response of our partners to my call, in particular from Germany," emphasized Dmytro Kuleba.
In her turn, German Foreign Minister Annalena Burbock emphasized that the participants heard a clear message from Minister Dmytro Kuleba and understand that Ukraine needs air defense right now.
"We see what is happening in Ukraine and realize that air defense systems are needed right now. We, Germany, are co-chairing the Coalition of Capabilities, so we are ready to call on Europe to check the available air defense systems and transfer them to Ukraine," said Annalena Baerbock.
