This was announced on Wednesday, November 29, by the head of Ukrainian diplomacy, Dmytro Kuleba, in Brussels, following his participation in the first ever meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council at the level of foreign ministers.
"The time has come for strategic decisions. Ukraine's strong and lasting support will bring victory and the end of the war closer," the minister said.
The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine emphasized that the European defense industry requires an urgent strengthening, which is determined by the creation of a common space of defense industries in Europe that will unite the industry of the Euro-Atlantic community and like-minded countries.
The Minister reminded that Ukraine held a successful Defense Industries Forum in September, which united 252 leading defense companies of the world and initiated dozens of partnerships with Ukrainian manufacturers.
"Ukraine has already increased its own production of weapons several times. Now we need your solutions in the same direction. As fast and decisive as possible," - urged Dmytro Kuleba.
The Minister noted that Ukraine currently needs superiority in the air, improved means of radio-electronic warfare, counter-battery capabilities, new anti-mine technologies and expanded training opportunities.
The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine called on NATO allies to continue strengthening Ukraine's air defense to protect Ukrainian cities and towns, as well as to provide additional howitzers, artillery systems, MLRS, armored vehicles, drones and long-range missiles.
The minister expressed Ukraine’s gratitude to NATO member states for their military support to Ukraine, marked the creation of the air defense coalition and called on all states to allocate resources for its strengthening.
Following the results of the meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council at the level of foreign ministers, there was adopted the Statement, focused on the development of new projects in the field of defense industry, the development and implementation of modern technological solutions, support for humanitarian demining efforts, as well as medical rehabilitation of wounded Ukrainian servicemen.
