On November 5, 2021 Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine (CDTO) Dmytro Senik received Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Ukraine Engineer Salem Ahmed AlKaabi.

The interlocutors discussed topical issues of cooperation between Ukraine and the UAE in the political, trade, investment and agricultural spheres.

They paid special attention to the preparations for Dmytro Senik's working visit to the UAE from November 14 to 18, 2021, during which Ukrainian-Emirati political consultations and participation of the Ukrainian delegation in the Dubai Air Show  international exhibition are planned.

The diplomats exchanged views on ways to increase trade and revitalize business ties, in particular in the context of joint investment projects and opportunities to increase Ukrainian exports of agricultural products.

For reference: On July 14, 2021, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba had a telephone conversation with Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the UAE Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. 

The total volume of bilateral trade in goods and services between Ukraine and the UAE in 2020 amounted to $900 million. The positive for Ukraine balance of foreign trade in goods and services with the UAE in 2020 amounted to $378.1 million.
