Today in Washington, DC, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba held a meeting with the U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
Dmytro Kuleba and Antony Blinken welcomed the renewal of the work of the U.S.-Ukraine Strategic Partnership Commission as a new stage and expanding cooperation between our countries with regard to the current shared challenges and emerging opportunities.
Parties discussed the deepening of the defense cooperation, stabilization of the energy security in Ukraine and Europe, strengthening of Ukraine’s position in its Euro-Atlantic aspirations.
Secretary Blinken reiterated the U.S. support to Ukraine in its efforts to defend itself from Russian aggression, restore its sovereignty and territorial integrity, including over temporarily occupied Crimea, and strengthen security in the region.
Head of the Office of the Ukrainian President Andriy Yermak and the U.S. Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland took part in the meeting.
