Dmytro Senik: Malaysia might become an “entry point” for the Ukrainian business into the ASEAN market

On October 6, 2020 the first web-conference “Ukraine-Malaysia. New markets. New opportunities” organized by the Council of Exporters and Investors under the MFA of Ukraine and Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) took place. Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine (CDTO) Dmytro Senik, Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry of Malaysia Datuk Lim Ban Hong as well as around 200 representatives of Ukrainian and Malaysian companies participated in the event.

During his welcoming speech Dmytro Senik noted: “Malaysia is one of the key partners of Ukraine in the South East Asia and economic cooperation is a priority for the bilateral relations”. According to him, Ukraine has a considerable potential for the development of trade, cooperation in aerospace, pharmaceutical and IT spheres.

The participants received information on the structure and dynamics of bilateral trade, conditions for entering the markets of Ukraine and Malaysia, peculiarities of obtaining product certificates and conducting business. Representatives of the companies also had an opportunity to establish direct contact with potential partners in B2B format.
