On 20 October 2020, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine in cooperation with the United Nations Secretariat held an online seminar for the representatives of the Ukrainian business, dedicated to the participation in the procurement activities of the UN.
Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs (CDTO) Dmytro Senik noted that Ukrainian vendors had considerable potential for wider participation in the United Nations tender procedures. “I encourage national companies to be more active in this domain. The MFA is ready to provide necessary support”, stressed the Ukrainian diplomat.
The UN Secretariat briefed participants about the procurement procedures, including values, policies, process, buying profiles and business opportunities.
For Reference: According to the UN Secretariat statistics, in 2019 Ukraine ranked seventh among the largest suppliers of goods and services for the needs of the United Nations, including the needs of the peacekeeping operations.
