First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Emine Dzhaparova held a video conference with Deputy Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania Agron Tare.
Emine Dzhaparova informed her Albanian counterpart about the continuation of systematic human rights violations in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
She presented the structure, priorities and main goals of the Crimea Platform. "This initiative is a tool that will allow Ukraine to return the issue of Russia's illegal occupation of Crimea to the international agenda", - said the First Deputy Minister.
Emine Dzhaparova also stressed that the consolidation of efforts within the Crimea Platform will turn it into an international platform for supporting the deoccupation of the peninsula, where cooperation will take place simultaneously at different levels: both between state officials and experts.
In this context, Emine Dzhaparova renewed invitation to Albania to take part in the inaugural summit of the Crimea Platform on August 23 in Kyiv.
Albania's Deputy Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs reaffirmed his country's position on supporting Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
He stressed that Albania also supports Ukraine's initiative to create a Crimea Platform.
During the conversation, the interlocutors also discussed cooperation within international organizations, in particular in the context of promoting Ukraine's candidacy in the elections to the executive councils of UNESCO and the World Tourism Organization.
