First Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Emine Dzhaparova was appointed Chairperson of the National Commission of Ukraine for UNESCO.
The priority of cooperation of Ukraine’s National Commission with UNESCO remains the use of the Organization's capabilities to draw the attention of the international community to acute problems in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, in particular, in the context of UNESCO monitoring the situation in the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol.
The use of UNESCO's means and resources in the national interest, such as education, science, culture, information, and communication, will contribute to further involvement of the creative and intellectual potential of our country in global processes.
