On August 10, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to Ukraine H.E. Arief Muhammad Basalamah presented a copy of his Credential letters to the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Emine Dzhaparova.

Emine Dzhaparova expressed gratitude to Indonesia for the support of our country in upholding sovereignty and territorial integrity under the Russian aggression, especially within the UN framework. The diplomats discussed the Peace Formula of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and possible participation of Indonesia in its implementation.

The First Deputy Minister called upon Indonesia and ASEAN to strongly condemn any attempts by Russia to exacerbate the global food crisis. Emine Dzhaparova also emphasized the importance of Indonesian humanitarian aid for Ukraine, notably reconstruction of Chernihiv City Hospital No.2.

The diplomats discussed Ukraine's cooperation with ASEAN and Ukraine’s aim to become ASEAN’s Sectoral Dialogue Partner.
