On February 24, Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko held talks with Finnish Foreign Minister Pekka Haavisto on the margins of the 43rd session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva.
During the meeting, Vadym Prystaiko commended the dynamics of political dialogue between Ukraine and Finland. The Head of the Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry assured of the willingness of the leadership of Ukraine to seek a peaceful settlement of the Russian-Ukrainian armed conflict, as well as informed on practical steps taken by Ukraine in this regard related to implementation of the December's agreements of the leaders of the Normandy Four.
The parties have discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation, as well as the interaction between the two countries on the international arena. The experience of organising educational process in Finland is important for Ukraine’s higher and secondary education reform.
