Georgia transferred 9 industrial generators to Sumy region
06 January 2026 10:53

On January 5, an official ceremony was held to hand over 9 industrial generators of various capacities worth over 553 thousand US dollars, allocated by the Georgian government to ensure the livelihoods of those affected by the Russian aggression in the regions of Ukraine, from the Charge d’Affaires of Georgia in Ukraine, Irakli Abesadze, to the authorized representative of the Sumy Military Administration.

In the context of daily terrorist attacks, as well as severe cold, this humanitarian aid is extremely important and timely. It will allow to strengthen the resilience of the Sumy region, which is in a zone of daily threat from the Russian enemy, facing brutal attacks on civilian infrastructure and civilians.

We are sincerely grateful to the government of Georgia, which since the beginning of the large-scale invasion of the Russian Federation has already sent 27 powerful generators to Ukraine for social and infrastructure facilities in Kyiv, Lviv, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv and Gostomel, as well as 9 for the Sumy region.
