On July 24, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Iryna Borovets held a meeting with the Head of the Council of Europe Office in Ukraine, Maciej Janczak.

Iryna Borovets expressed gratitude to the Council of Europe for supporting our state in defending its sovereignty and territorial integrity under Russian aggression. She particularly emphasized the important role of the Council of Europe in working towards full accountability for Russia's aggression against Ukraine and compensating all victims of the war.

The parties discussed the progress and prospects of implementing the Council of Europe Action Plan for Ukraine "Resilience. Recovery. Reconstruction" for 2023-2026. This document serves as a roadmap for utilizing the unique expert potential of the Council of Europe to support our country's efforts in aligning legislation, reforming state institutions, and applying positive practices in accordance with the best European standards in the field of human rights, rule of law, and democracy.
