On the Day of the Crimean Tatar Flag, June 26, Special Representative of Ukraine for the Middle East and Africa Maksym Subkh received a delegation of Ukrainian Muslim clergy, including Mufti of the Religious Administration of Muslims of Ukraine «Umma» Murat Suleymanov, Chairman of the All-Ukrainian Association of Social Organisations «Alraid», Imam Seyran Aryfov and Chairman of the Board of the Religious Administration of Muslims of Ukraine «Umma» Diliaver Saidakhmetov.

In the course of the meeting, the clergy delegation presented the first Ukrainian translation of the classical work «Atlas of Islamic Culture» by Ismail Raji al-Faruqi, a prominent Palestinian-American philosopher of the second half of the 20th century, and his wife Lois al-Faruqi.

Representatives of Muslim religious circles of Ukraine expressed their gratitude to Minister Andrii Sybiha and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their continued support and assistance to the Crimean Tatar people in protecting their rights and interests in the context of countering Russian armed aggression against Ukraine.

The parties agreed to maintain further contacts and coordination in order to provide accurate information about Russia's systematic violations of Crimean Tatars' rights, in addition to discussing the possibility of involving Arab and Muslim countries in the implementation of scientific and academic projects in cooperation with the Religious Administration of Muslims of Ukraine «Umma».
