On September 30, Special Representative of Ukraine for the Middle East and Africa Maksym Subkh had a telephone call with Hamada Madi, Diplomatic Adviser to the President of the Comoros Islands and the Chairperson of the African Union Azali Assoumani.

The Ukrainian diplomat thanked the Comoros for supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. He highly praised the participation of the Comoros in the meetings of national security advisors regarding the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula.

Maksym Subkh expressed satisfaction with the visit of the President of Comoros to Kyiv in June 2023 as part of the peace-promoting group of African presidents.

The parties also discussed further mechanisms for strengthening cooperation and coordination between Ukraine and the African Union.
