On January 10, Maksym Subkh, Special Representative of Ukraine for the Middle East and Africa received copies of the letters of credence from H.E. Osama Ablgasem, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Libya to Ukraine.
The parties discussed ways to intensify the bilateral political dialogue and the interaction of the two countries against the backdrop of the full-scale aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
The Libyan side was invited to join the Peace formula initiated by the President of Ukraine aimed at restoring international stability, as well as the "Grain from Ukraine" initiative, which aims to significantly increase food supplies to the African and Asian countries as well as to alleviate the food crisis saving millions of lives from hunger.
Ambassador Osama Ablgasem confirmed the official Tripoli's unwavering support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and expressed solidarity with Ukrainian people in resisting the Russian armed aggression.
Maksym Subh expressed hope that the transitional period in Libya will successfully end with fair and transparent elections in the near future.
