On 2 March, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mariana Betsa held an online meeting with Minister of State for International Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad.

At the outset, Mariana Betsa congratulated her counterpart on the beginning of the Muslims’ holy month of Ramadan, wishing peace, well-being and prosperity to the people of Qatar.

The Deputy Minister expressed gratitude to the Qatari side for supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as for Qatar's significant efforts on facilitating the return of Ukrainian children forcibly deported by Russia.

During the meeting, the parties discussed current issues on the bilateral agenda and cooperation within international organizations. Ukraine and Qatar reaffirmed their commitment to further deepening cooperation between the two states in the areas of mutual interest.
