On February 11, Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Mariana Betsa held a meeting with Stephan Sicars, Senior Coordinator of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) for Ukraine.
During the meeting, the parties discussed UNIDO project activities in Ukraine and interaction within the framework of future events and initiatives.
Mariana Betsa positively noted the significant expansion of UNIDO projects in recent years. She also emphasized the importance of this Organization’s attention to both the issues of prompt reconstruction of the destruction caused by Russia’s ongoing aggressive war against Ukraine and assistance in the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine.
"We welcome UNIDO's plans to establish an office in Ukraine that will ensure effective project management, given the critical importance of the rapid post-war recovery of Ukraine's economy, as well as the Organization's unique experience in the areas of circular economy and green industrial recovery, decarbonization and sustainable energy, technology transfer and infrastructure development", the Deputy Foreign Minister emphasized.
