On November 26, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mariana Betsa met with the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar Dr. Ahmed Al-Hammadi within the framework of her participation in the 10th Global Forum of the UN Alliance of Civilizations, which is being held in the Portuguese city of Cascais. 

Mariana Betsa highly appreciated Qatar's unwavering position in supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and the humanitarian assistance provided to our state.

She also noted the important practical participation of Qatar in the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula as the only and unalternative path to establishing a just and sustainable peace.

Mariana Betsa thanked the Qatari side for its effective efforts in the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children illegally deported by Russia (to date, 46 children have been returned to Ukraine through the mediation of the State of Qatar), as well as for the medical and psychosocial support provided to Ukrainian minors during their stay in Qatar.

For his part, Ahmed Al-Hammadi assured that his country will continue to support Ukraine within the framework of established interaction and is ready to discuss the possibilities of expanding its assistance during the political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, which he proposed to hold in the nearest future.

During the meeting, special attention was paid to issues of cooperation in the economic sphere and at the venues of international organizations.
