On April 24, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mariana Betsa participated in Kyiv StratCom Forum 2025 panel titled “United Front: Strengthening Allied Cooperation in StratCom”.

“Step by step, we are building systematic cooperation with our partners and allies in the area of communications - through strategic dialogues, political consultations, within the framework of partnerships with NATO and the EU, as well as in bilateral and multilateral formats. The Ukraine Communications Group, established last year, is one of these effective initiatives where participants can strengthen each other through their experience and contribute to efficient information work. We welcome the scaling up of such formats in which Ukraine is an active participant and looks forward to further support from our allies in the area of strategic communications”, Mariana Betsa stated.

The discussion focused on coordinating efforts and combating information manipulation, disinformation, interference, and hybrid warfare.

The Deputy Foreign Minister emphasized that the peculiarities of the challenges of Russia's full-scale war against our country are not only related to Ukraine or the region, but have a global dimension. Countering Russian propaganda and disinformation as tools of hybrid warfare is one of the key tasks of strategic communications in coordination with our allies today.  

Mariana Betsa emphasized that the countries of Asia, Africa and Latin America are important partners of Ukraine where the MFA is strengthening our country's presence, in particular through the expansion of the network of diplomatic missions and respective communication strategies.

Piers Cazalet, Director of Defense and Security Cooperation at NATO HQ, Ben Heap, Senior Expert at NATO Strategic Communications Centre of Excellence, and Sébastien Surun, Deputy Head of the Embassy of France in Ukraine, also took part in the discussion.
