On 28 May, Deputy Minister Mariana Betsa participated in the business forum “The Global Ukrainian Community in Times of Challenges – the Diaspora for Ukraine”, organized by the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany.
In her welcoming remarks, Mariana Betsa emphasized that a top priority for the Ukrainian state remains the maximum support for its citizens abroad, the preservation of national identity and unity among Ukrainians, and maintaining strong ties with Ukraine for those forced to leave due to Russia’s war of aggression.
“Every Ukrainian, regardless of their current place of residence, should feel connected to the future of their state and be able to contribute to its recovery and development,” stated Mariana Betsa.
The Deputy Minister stressed that Ukraine considers the global Ukrainian business community a powerful strategic partner in the country’s economic recovery. In this regard, she thanked the Ukrainian World Congress for its active involvement in last year’s Ukraine Recovery Conference and expressed hope for strong engagement of the global Ukrainian diaspora in URC 2025 to be held in Rome.
Mariana Betsa also expressed her gratitude to the global Ukrainian community abroad for its active advocacy and called for continued efforts to strengthen Ukraine’s international position.
