The Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted the opening of the first private exhibition of a young talented artist Daria Bubar titled "The World of Kindness and Love", dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the adoption of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on "Women, Peace, and Security".
At the opening ceremony, First Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Emine Dzhaparova mentioned that the Resolution was the first step in recognizing the disproportionate impact of war on women, as well as the importance of equal and full involvement of women as active participants to promoting peace and security.
Emine Dzhaparova noted that an integral part of this process is to draw attention to the issue of child protection in armed conflicts. Our main task is to prevent violations of children's rights and ensure their protection.
The artist also addressed everyone present at the event with the words: “This is a great opportunity for me to show the world how I express my ideas and thoughts in my paintings. By this I want to show all of humanity that we need to strive for peace and fill our lives with goodness and love. I am waiting for the time when I am able to carelessly paint pictures with bright colors about birds singing, peaceful blue skies, happy life without war, without pain, without tragedy".
Emine Dzhaparova handed Daria Bubar a congratulatory letter from Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, in which the Foreign Minister thanked the author for her brilliant work.
