Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Mykola Tochytskyi participated in the inaugural Ukrainian-American High-Level Meeting on Chemical and Biological Security, which took place on November 3, 2023, in Krakow, Poland. The US delegation at the event was led by Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Nonproliferation Kathryn Insley.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to deepen bilateral collaboration with a view to enhancing Ukraine's capacity in averting, identifying, and managing contemporary chemical and biological risks and hazards. Given the ongoing threats to Ukraine's security from the aggressor state, strengthening the national emergency response system capacity with a view to protect lives and health of the citizens of Ukraine remains among top priorities in cooperation with the United States.
The Ukrainian side deeply values the unwavering support and extensive assistance provided by the United States to Ukraine in the face of the ongoing full-scale aggression by the Russian Federation.
