Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "A fruitful discussion with Kaja Kallas in Rome about battlefield developments, peace efforts, and Ukraine's priority needs.
I am grateful to the EU, and in particular to the High Representative, for their principled and steadfast support.
Ukraine is ready for a full ceasefire and uses every opportunity to achieve peace. Unfortunately, Russia continues to stall peace efforts and instead escalate terror against civilians.
We coordinated steps to increase pressure on Moscow, including the 18th EU sanctions package, as well as to boost support for Ukraine, including 2 million artillery shells.
We also discussed humanitarian confidence-building measures and steps to facilitate the return of forcibly deported Ukrainian children.
I look forward to participating in the upcoming Foreign Affairs Council meeting to further our dialogue."
