On April 21, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the All-Ukrainian Public Organization “Ukrainian Association of International Law” signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

The document was signed by Oleksandr Karasevych, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, and Olga Butkevych, President of the All-Ukrainian Public Organization “Ukrainian Association of International Law”.

The memorandum establishes a framework for cooperation in a number of priority areas, particularly regarding the application of international legal mechanisms and instruments to protect Ukraine’s interests and strengthen the international legal response to Russian aggression.

A separate area of cooperation between the parties is the development of the Ukrainian doctrine of international law, in particular by supporting the activities of the UAMP’s official periodical, the “Ukrainian Journal of International Law”, which covers current issues in international law and Ukraine’s foreign policy.
