The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine views the service of war veterans as a vital component in strengthening the state's institutional capacity on the international stage.
At the same time, candidates for diplomatic positions—both within the MFA apparatus and in Ukraine's foreign diplomatic missions—must meet the requirements of the law, specifically the Law of Ukraine "On Diplomatic Service."

The MFA is Working to Create Conditions for Attracting Veterans to the Diplomatic Service, Including:
Vacancies within the diplomatic service system are published on the MFA website under the "Vacancies" section, as well as on the Ministry for Veterans Affairs of Ukraine's online platforms: "Veteran's Career" and "E-Map of Vacancies for Veterans."
Currently, about 10 war veterans are already serving within the MFA system, including in leadership positions. This confirms that the combat, management, and leadership experience of veterans is a valuable resource for Ukrainian diplomacy.
