Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Olexandr Mischenko held an interagency meeting with representatives of the security and defense sector of Ukraine.
The meeting focused on the practical implementation of Ukraine's "Enhanced Partnership" status within the Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF).
The parties focused primarily on coordinating formats for the participation of Ukrainian units in the Coalition’s scheduled training activities. Participants discussed interagency coordination mechanisms necessary for the effective integration of the Defense Forces of Ukraine into joint partner exercises.
Special emphasis was placed on the importance of engaging Ukrainian specialists to share their unique combat experience with JEF member states. In particular, the discussion covered deepening expert cooperation in the use of unmanned systems and modern technological battlefield solutions.
The parties defined priority steps for further work aimed at enhancing interoperability and strengthening common security.
Background: The Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF) is a UK-led coalition of like-minded nations, comprising countries from Northern Europe and the Baltics. In May 2025, during the Oslo Summit, JEF leaders granted Ukraine "Enhanced Partnership" status, aimed at deepening security cooperation.
