Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Olexandr Mischenko met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Palestine to Ukraine, Hashem Dajani, on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission.

During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed the current state and prospects of Ukrainian-Palestinian relations in areas of mutual interest.

Olexandr Mischenko outlined the consequences of the ongoing Russian aggression against Ukraine and emphasized the need to ensure respect for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders. In this context, the importance of consistently upholding the principles of the UN Charter and supporting relevant international initiatives was highlighted.

Particular attention was paid to the situation in the Middle East. The Ukrainian side reaffirmed its position regarding the need to protect the civilian population, uphold international humanitarian law, and achieve a lasting peace based on the principle of the coexistence of two states—Israel and Palestine.

The parties reaffirmed their mutual interest in continuing a constructive Ukrainian-Palestinian dialogue.
