On 24 February, Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Olexandr Mischenko met with Chair of All-Party Parliamentary Group on Ukraine, the UK`s Trade Envoy to Ukraine, Labour MP Alex Sobel, who is visiting Ukraine on occasion of the third anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Olexandr Mischenko expressed gratitude to the United Kingdom for its comprehensive political, military, humanitarian and economic support to Ukraine in countering Russian aggression and praised the strategic nature of the Ukrainian-British relations.

For his part, Alex Sobel underlined the unity of political forces in the UK Parliament in supporting Ukraine and the Labour Party’s commitment to further assistance to our country.

The interlocutors discussed a number of issues of bilateral cooperation, including strengthening sanctions pressure on Russia and increasing efforts to prevent their circumvention, Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic integration, the UK`s further participation in the reconstruction of war-affected regions of Ukraine, as well as expansion of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
