On 15 September Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Olexandr Mischenko held a meeting with an interagency delegation of the Czech Republic headed by Ms. Veronika Stromšíková, Political Director and Special Envoy for Defence and Security of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic. Mr. Aleš Vytečka, Director of the Intergovernmental Defence Cooperation Agency (AMOS) of the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic, and H.E. Luboš Veselý, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Ukraine.
During the meeting, the Parties discussed Ukrainian-Czech relations, including political dialogue and defence cooperation, the current state of diplomatic efforts aimed at achieving a just and lasting peace, as well as cooperation within international organisations.
Deputy Minister Olexandr Mischenko expressed gratitude to the Czech Republic for its consistent and multifaceted support for Ukraine since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale aggression. The Deputy Minister particularly noted the Czech Republic’s significant contribution to strengthening Ukraine’s defence capabilities, as well as its political, diplomatic support and humanitarian assistance.
The Parties reaffirmed mutual interest in further deepening bilateral dialogue and coordination on a broad range of bilateral and international issues.
