On June 5 Ukraine's First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sergiy Kyslytsya, held a meeting with Ambassador of the EU to Ukraine, Katarína Mathernová.
The two officials discussed a wide range of issues concerning their bilateral and international agendas, with particular emphasis on countering Russia's ongoing armed aggression.
The central theme of the meeting was the peaceful resolution of the conflict in Ukraine.
As a direct participant in the negotiations, Sergiy Kyslytsya briefed Katarína Mathernová on the outcomes of the latest round of direct talks between Ukraine and Russia, which took place in Istanbul on June 2, 2025.
The First Deputy Minister expressed gratitude for the European Union's consistent and unconditional support for Ukraine in the peace process.
The parties agreed to continue coordinating their positions and efforts to achieve a just peace for Ukraine.
