OSCE-Wide Counter-Terrorism Conference "An Effective Partnerships against Terrorism and Violent Extremism and Radicalization that lead to Terrorism" is being held online on September 14-15, 2020 in Vienna. Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the Anti-Terrorist Center at the Security Service of Ukraine and the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to International Organizations in Vienna are attending the conference.
OSCE-Wide Counter-Terrorism Conference is held annually and is an important international political platform for discussing issues of national security, tackling terrorist, radical extremism and protection of human rights.
During the first day of the conference, the Head of the delegation, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Anti-terrorist Center at the Security Service of Ukraine Roman Fedorov delivered a speech. He drew attention of the national efforts that Ukraine undertakes in order to improve the national counter-terrorism system, principles of preventing, responding and tackling terrorist acts, minimizing their consequences, and proposed a model of interstate cooperation aimed at preventing terrorism.
The participants condemned Russia's policy aimed at supporting, financing and coordinating the activities of terrorist groups in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
