Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "Today, in the historic Senate House in London, a building that embodies the power of knowledge, freedom, and academic tradition, we signed new memoranda of cooperation between Ukrainian and British universities. As First Lady Olena Zelenska rightly said in her video address, for too long the Russian narrative has dominated the world’s perception — both in public opinion and in research. Too often, Ukraine was seen only through the Russian lens. In my address, I underscored that for centuries, the history of Ukraine was written in foreign capitals and in foreign languages. Now, we are bringing it home and propose to look at Ukraine through the Ukrainian lens. Together, we are expanding the Global Coalition for Ukrainian Studies, opening new opportunities for joint research, academic exchanges, and nurturing the next generation of leaders. Together with our British friends, we are laying a solid foundation for the shared intellectual and humanitarian space that strengthens Ukraine and unites our partners in their commitment to peace and progress."
