The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Subcommittee on Higher Education, the Youth Council under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Students' Expert Council of Higher Education Institutions under the Head of Subcommittee on Higher Education of the Committee on Education, Science and Innovation of the Parliament of Ukraine have launched the project "UA — Ukrainians Abroad," aimed at uniting Ukrainian youth abroad.
Recently, Maryna Sobotyuk, Chairman of the Youth Council under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, and Illia Beliak, Chairman of the Students' Expert Council of Higher Education Institutions, signed a memorandum of cooperation. The memorandum consolidates collaboration between the two youth organizations to unite global Ukrainians, particularly young people abroad.
"Creating a United Youth Network, which will include organizations in Ukraine and abroad, will strengthen the interaction between Ukrainian youth in their native land and different parts of the world. The Youth Council under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has already demonstrated its effectiveness. I am convinced that the "UA — Ukrainians Abroad" project will create new opportunities for youth to participate in it and, in particular, will inspire them to realise themselves and be useful to the state during a full-scale war," the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, commented.
The "UA — Ukrainians Abroad" project provides for the creation of a coordination platform, which will include representatives of the Office of the President of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, and the Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine. The platform will include other experts who will organise and coordinate the creation of a Youth Public Associations network in several countries worldwide. The project organisers have already started actively consolidating activists, and all young Ukrainians abroad can join the initiative.
"Our priority task is to build the platform so that it can quickly and openly respond to the requests of young Ukrainians. Combining the efforts of the Students' Expert Council of Higher Education Institutions, the Youth Council under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and representatives of various authorities, we have already discussed the algorithm for building the project. The process of setting up the structure has been launched," Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Subcommittee on Higher Education, Yulia Grishina, said.
The "UA — Ukrainians Abroad" project is a joint initiative of the Youth Council under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Students' Expert Council of Higher Education Institutions under the Head of Subcommittee on Higher Education of the Committee on Education, Science and Innovation of the Parliament of Ukraine.
