For millions of Ukrainians who have been forced to flee their country in the wake of russia's full-scale invasion, access to consular services is an important component in maintaining ties with their homeland and obtaining information and documents, including those necessary for return. Recognising the significant increase in demand, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is undertaking efforts to improve the accessibility and quality of consular services.
We are grateful to the UN Refugee Agency for its cooperation and support in strengthening the technical capacity of the consular service through the donation of laptops, multifunctional devices, as well as additional computer and network equipment to be delivered in the near future. UNHCR is also an important partner in supporting the work of Ukrainian consulates abroad, particularly in Poland, by providing IT equipment and training to improve their work and assisting the mobile consular services in remote areas.
