On February 26, Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Yevhen Perebyinis took part in the panel discussion “Crimea: how not to lose the world’s attention”, which took place within the framework of the forum “11 years of war. Starting point: Crimea”.
In his speech, Yevhen Perebyinis spoke about the efforts made by Ukrainian diplomacy to keep the world’s attention on the Crimean issue, by using membership and tools of international organizations. The effectiveness of these efforts is confirmed by the fact that no civilized country has recognized the annexation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, and instead, several resolutions have been adopted in support of the territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders and condemnation of the illegal annexation.
In this context, the Deputy Minister separately emphasized the importance of continuing work with partners in the format of the International Crimea Platform, as well as the need to expand the geography of its participants.
Yevhen Perebyinis noted the effective implementation of several measures aimed at consolidating the evidence base for decisions of international courts related to the aggression of the Russian Federation against our state. The Deputy Minister separately emphasized the need to strengthen sanctions pressure on Russia.
The panel discussion was attended by People's Deputy of Ukraine Tamila Tasheva, Chargé d'Affaires ai of the United Kingdom in Ukraine Charlotte Suren, and the Chairman of the Board of the Crimean Human Rights Group Olga Skrypnyk.
