On July 26, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Yevhen Perebyinis, received copies of credentials from the newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Ukraine, Alle Tammo Sytse Dorhout.
The Deputy Minister congratulated the ambassador on the beginning of his diplomatic mission, which, unfortunately, falls on a difficult period in the history of independent Ukraine while our state continues to defend its sovereignty against Russian armed aggression.
Yevgen Perebyinis expressed his gratitude to the Netherlands for unwavering support of Ukraine in the face of Russia's armed aggression, significant military, economic and humanitarian assistance, as well as for the leadership in bringing the aggressor to justice for crimes committed in Ukraine. The Deputy Minister also expressed his condolences in connection with the 10-years tragedy of the downing of the Malaysian plane flight MH17 and assured that Ukraine will seek a fair punishment of those guilty.
The two sides discussed further practical steps for the implementation of the Peace Formula of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, support for Ukraine on the way to full membership in the EU and NATO as well as exchanged views on the further development of bilateral relations.
The Dutch diplomat confirmed his country's readiness to continue to support our state and strengthen cooperation between Kyiv and The Hague.
