On 11 November, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Yevhen Perebyinis met with State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia Marko Štucin.
Yevhen Perebyinis expressed gratitude to Slovenia for its comprehensive support in the fight against Russian armed aggression, in particular for providing significant military and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine.
The parties exchanged views on the development of the bilateral political dialogue between the two countries, the implementation of the Security Cooperation Agreement, further defence assistance and cooperation in the reconstruction of Ukraine.
The interlocutors also discussed the strengthening of sanctions pressure on Russia, Slovenia's support for Ukraine's Euro-Atlantic integration, and cooperation in the context of the implementation of the Peace Formula and the Victory Plan of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Special attention was paid to the negotiations on Ukraine's membership in the EU and learning from Slovenia’s experience on this path.
For his part, Marko Štucin reaffirmed Slovenia's readiness to continue supporting Ukraine's efforts towards a peaceful and stable future and to deepen bilateral partnership to ensure Ukraine's victory over the Russian aggressor.
Diplomats agreed to keep on maintaining regular contacts at all levels to further strengthen the traditionally friendly Ukrainian-Slovenian relations.
