On 4 September, Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Yevhen Perebyinis met with Anton Hofreiter, Chairman of the Bundestag Committee of the Federal Republic of Germany on EU Affairs, and Agnieszka Pomaska, Chairman of the Sejm Committee on EU Affairs.

The Deputy Minister expressed gratitude to the German and Polish sides for the comprehensive support provided to our country since the first days of the full-scale Russian aggression against Ukraine. He noted the active participation of Germany and Poland in strengthening Ukraine’s defence capabilities.

During the meeting, the sides also discussed further cooperation between the countries on the path to Ukraine's European and Euro-Atlantic integration. In this context, Yevgen Perebyinis emphasized the priority for the Government of Ukraine to implement the necessary reforms in order to achieve compliance with the EU and NATO membership criteria as soon as possible. He expressed hope for further support of the German and Polish governments of our country in this direction.

For their part, Anton Hofreiter and Agnieszka Pomaska assured the Ukrainian side of unconditional further military, financial and economic assistance to Ukraine in countering Russian aggression.
