On February 24, Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Yevhen Perebyinis met with NATO Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Security Policy Boris Ruge.

During the meeting, the parties discussed further military support for Ukraine, strengthening Ukraine's cooperation with the Alliance, and ways to achieve a comprehensive, just and sustainable peace.

Yevhen Perebyinis expressed gratitude for the allocation of more than 50 billion euros by NATO member states for defense support to Ukraine in 2024. He emphasized the importance of further joint work to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities and resilience, in particular the need to significantly strengthen our country's air defense against the backdrop of growing Russian air attacks.

The interlocutors welcomed the official launch of the NATO-Ukraine Joint Analysis, Training and Education Center (JATEC) in Bydgoszcz (Poland) and exchanged views on the functioning of the NATO Security Assistance and Training Initiative for Ukraine (NSATU). They discussed the calendar of upcoming joint events, in particular within the framework of the NATO-Ukraine Council.

In the context of Ukraine's Euro-Atlantic integration, Yevgen Perebyinis emphasized that Ukraine's membership in NATO remains the most effective guarantee of long-term security for our country.
