On February 18, 2025 Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Yevhen Perebyinis held a meeting with Davide La Cecilia, Special Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Italy for the Reconstruction and Resilience of Ukraine.

During the meeting, the parties discussed preparations for the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC-2025) to be held in Rome in July. Considering the experience of last year's conference, the parties agreed on the main structure of the event, which will include four key dimensions: the Business Dimension, the Human Dimension, the Local and Regional Dimension and the EU Dimension.

The interlocutors noted that the Ukraine Recovery Conference is an important platform for showcasing Ukraine's progress on the path to reform and economic resilience, as well as its preparation for EU accession.

In this context, Yevhen Perebyinis highlighted the importance of sustaining and intensifying international pressure on the aggressor state, which is crucial for achieving a just and lasting peace. He also expressed gratitude to Italy for its steadfast support of Ukraine, particularly in enhancing its defence capabilities.

For his part, Davide La Cecilia reaffirmed Italy's unwavering support for Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression and emphasized the importance of further strengthening the partnership in Ukraine’s reconstruction efforts.
