The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine took part in a joint charity event of the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine and the Ministry of Veterans of Ukraine in support of Ukrainian defenders, which was held at the Diplomatic Academy.
During the event, paintings by Ukrainian veterans created during art therapy sessions were presented for sale at a charity auction to raise funds for their rehabilitation.
In his speech, Yevhen Perebyinis thanked the organizers and emphasized the importance of supporting Ukrainian veterans.
"The war that Russia has been waging against Ukraine for over 10 years is existential. The goal of Russian aggression, among other things, is the destruction of Ukrainian identity, history, and culture. Today, on the front lines of Ukraine's defense are women and men who were previously teachers, doctors, musicians, artists, or entrepreneurs, and many of them discovered their artistic talents during the war. Therefore, today our duty is to support them and show the world their art," the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine emphasized.
Yevhen Perebyinis emphasized the importance of such a charitable event aimed not only at raising funds for the rehabilitation of veterans, but also at drawing attention to their needs.
"A great gratitude to everyone who joined this event, and to our defenders for giving us confidence in tomorrow and our victory with their faith, energy, and talent," the Deputy Minister emphasized.
